Event Overview
Participants from Nippon Paint took part in an Amazing Race activity organized by Making Teams Thailand on the afternoon of February 22nd, 2019.
Location
The Amazing Race was held at various locations around central Bangkok, with the participants’ starting and finishing location being the Glow Pratunam Hotel.
Company/People
The team of approximately 21 from Nippon Paint was comprised of delegates from in and around SIngapore. The team were in Bangkok together holding their annual kickoff event.
Event Objectives
The goal for this event was to experience a slice of Thai culture and points of interest around Bangkok, while working together as a team to manage their route and budget, solve challenges and try to beat the other teams to the finish line.
Team Building Activities
Participants were put into 3 teams preselected by Nippon Paint and sent to various locations around the city, led by a facilitator who revealed a series of consecutive location clues and challenges to their teams as they traversed the predesignated route. Some of the challenges included building and flying a traditional Thai kite, learning and performing traditional Muay Thai boxing, purchasing various items in a local food market, as well as finding out culturally significant information about a variety of local attractions.
